Apex Pickleball Weather Policy

At Apex Pickleball, we love being an outdoor facility, but we know mother nature doesn’t always want to cooperate! Weather is our biggest variable, but thanks to our transition to CourtReserve, we now have much more flexibility in how we handle unpredictable conditions.

When the temperature is above 60°F, our courts actually dry incredibly fast, and with 6+ foam rollers on hand, our team is always ready to prep the surface. While player safety is always our #1 priority, our goal is to keep you playing.

The Golden Rule: When in Doubt, Sign Up!

Even on gloomy or unpredictable days, go ahead and register for your events! Let us worry about the forecast.

No Upfront Risk: Most of our events only require a card on file. We process billing at check-in or later that evening via batch billing. If we have to cancel, no money ever changes hands!
Why it matters: If a rain storm rolls through at 4:00PM and the evening looks like it could go either way (30-40% chance of rain), our decision to reopen depends entirely on you. If the courts are empty and no one is registered, we will likely remain closed for the night. But if we see reserved courts and enough players signed up for an open play session, we will do everything in our power to roll the courts and get you playing!

Bottom Line: If you stay on the schedule, we’ll stay on the courts!

🌧️ Weather Conditions & Closure Protocols

We monitor the weather closely and use the following guidelines to determine playability:

Weather Condition	Action Plan
Light / Non-Soaking Rain	Play will be temporarily paused at employee discretion until the courts can be dried.
Soaking Rain	The facility will temporarily close. We will aim to reopen close to the next scheduled event and may adjust start times in 30-minute increments to accommodate play.
Lightning	Play is halted immediately. The facility will close until the storm is safely out of the area. Players must take cover in the main building or their vehicles.
Extreme Cold	The facility will not open if the temperature is below 40°F, unless it is exceptionally sunny with low wind. Existing reservations and registrations will heavily influence our decision to open in borderline cold weather.

💳 Cancellation & Account Credit Policy

We know how frustrating it is to get rained out. If the weather cuts your playtime short, we’ve got you covered:

Before the Event: If an event is cancelled by Apex before it begins, you will not be charged. If you paid, you will be refunded.
During the Event: If a rainout occurs and you have played for less than one hour, we will gladly issue an account credit for the price of the event upon request.
